Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry!

The purpose of Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry (DSAL) i
s to promote an environment which fosters the growth and development of people with Down syndrome to enable them to achieve their full potential. Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry offers programs such as Moms' Night Out and Youth Group, as well as social events, resources, and educational opportunities.


 


Get Involved!

Join us at the next DSAL board meeting and find out how you can get involved with DSAL.  Party planning, contributing to the newsletter, pitching in with the Buddy Walk, there are plenty of opportunities to help.

DSAL and Coastal Therapy Services are delighted to offer Buddy Camp 2012.  Camp will be held June 18-21 at Providence Baptist Church on Daniel Island.  Campers can be age 3-8 and there is a $25.00 camp fee.  This is not a therapy camp but is a camp run by therapists.  Many fun activities are planned for the kids including crafts, music, dancing and more!  Space is limited so don't delay!  Download more information and registration forms here.

DSAL Fundraiser!
Mosaic Cafe and DSAL are teaming up for an evening of good food, fun and fund-raising!  Come to Mosaic and bring your friends on May 20 from 5-9 pm.  Members of DSAL will be hosting the evening and will even be behind the bar mixing cocktails.  12% of the evening profits will be donated to DSAL.

SuperStars at the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry
Second Sunday of the Month
11:00am - 1:00pm

The second Sunday of every month the Museum opens its doors to children with special needs and their families for FREE. SuperStars provides children with special needs the ability to explore the Museum when it is closed to avoid crowds and over-stimulation so they get to enjoy all the exhibits at their own pace.

On the 1st Tuesday of each month Monkey Joe's Parties and Play at the Tanger Outlets in North Charleston hosts "Special Needs Night."  The entire family gets in for FREE (normally $7 per child).  Come out for a GREAT time!
